On December 15, 2025, SBF (Muhe International), in partnership with the Chinese environmental innovation enterprise Shishang Recycling, paid an official visit to SWCorp (Perbadanan Pengurusan Sisa Pepejal dan Pembersihan Awam), Malaysia’s Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation. This visit aimed to deepen exchange and cooperation between China and Malaysia in green recycling systems, solid waste management, and low-carbon circularity, while jointly exploring solutions for sustainable urban governance.

The delegation was personally received by Mr. Khalid Bin Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of SWCorp, and his leadership team. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ren Kai, head of Shishang Recycling representing the Chinese delegation, alongside Mr. Yap Woon Han, Founder of SBF, and Ms. Gong Xu, Managing Partner of SBF.

During the symposium, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions focused on the following key areas:

  • Malaysia’s solid waste management framework and policy implementation experiences.

  • China’s community-based recycling models and smart recycling systems.

  • The role of digitalization and traceability technologies in waste reduction and resource recycling.

  • Strategies to boost recycling rates through synergy between communities and the market.

SWCorp shared its practical experience in advancing waste separation, recycling system development, and public cleansing supervision on a national scale. Shishang Recycling introduced its operational achievements in urban end-of-lifecycle recycling, standardization of renewable resources, and low-carbon management. Meanwhile, SBF proposed future directions and possibilities for collaboration from the perspective of a bilateral partnership platform and cross-border cooperation.

Following the official meeting, the attendees sampled traditional Malaysian pastries during a relaxed exchange on industry trends and sustainable governance. The session concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts, symbolizing mutual respect and a shared commitment to future cooperation.

Through this exchange, both sides not only deepened their mutual understanding of solid waste management systems and recycling practices but also brought diverse perspectives and shared experiences to the industry’s development. As cities worldwide accelerate their transition toward green governance, waste reduction, smart recycling, and public cleansing management are becoming increasingly critical. This face-to-face meeting has provided valuable references and inspiration for further understanding urban recycling frameworks and sanitation management.

Moving forward, SBF will continue to team up with industry partners to contribute to sustainable development between China and Malaysia, driving the low-carbon, circular, and environmental protection industries toward a broader future.
