On September 25, 2025, the “2025 Malaysia-China Business Summit Forum,” organized by Malaysia’s INSIGHT Think Tank, grandly opened at the Merdeka Hall of the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. Centering on the theme “Going Global to Win the Future,” the forum brought together political and business leaders, industry experts, and corporate representatives from both Malaysia and China to collectively explore new opportunities and pathways for corporate globalization. The Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia was invited to attend.
At the commencement of the forum, welcome addresses were successively delivered by Mr. Li Yue, Executive President of the China-Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) Commodity Exhibition Organizing Committee; Ms. Gan Yin Hui, Chief Marketing Officer of ShangHai Digital Business Media; Mr. Lin Jianwen, Vice President of the China-ASEAN (Malaysia) Entrepreneurs Association; and Datuk Lim Heng Ee, President of the Malaysia Industry & Commerce Association. His Excellency Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre, delivered the opening remarks via video.
During the keynote session, Professor Chen Xiaoyun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Kuala Lumpur, Chairman of Star Youth International Group, and Executive President of the Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia, delivered a compelling speech titled “Building an International Cooperation Community for Educational Expansion.” His insights added a brand-new dimension of educational internationalization to the concept of “going global.”
In the summit panel session, Mr. Liu Hailin, President of the Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia and Co-Chairman of the Chemical Industry Committee of the China-ASEAN (Malaysia) Entrepreneurs Association, engaged in a deep dialogue alongside fellow industry leaders, including Mr. Lu Liuyi, General Manager of Shenzhi Technology; Mr. Gong Xu, Malaysia Partner of ShanHaiTu; and Mr. Wu Yutao, President of the Business Division at Qinwang Group, under the moderation of Datuk Lim Heng Ee.
President Liu Hailin first established the Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia’s position as a “practitioner.” He shared that since its establishment four years ago, the Chamber has served numerous Anhui entrepreneurs expanding into Malaysia. Based on this front-line practical experience, his sharing aimed to look through the lens of a “practitioner” to analyze the opportunities, challenges, and critical navigational guideposts for Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) expanding into ASEAN in this current phase. Following this, President Liu emphasized the diverse potential and strategic value of the ASEAN market, deconstructed the actual difficulties facing companies going global along with strategic responses, and highlighted the irreplaceable role of Malaysian trade associations in providing localized support and building network bridges for enterprises.
As the forum drew to a close, attendees actively participated in the MCTE Exhibition Tour and Corporate Networking Event. The atmosphere was highly interactive, leading to in-depth discussions that laid a solid foundation for pushing forward multiple potential collaborations. This summit forum not only built a high-profile platform for dialogue between Malaysian and Chinese enterprises but also deeply linked corporate resources across China and ASEAN through critical regional trade platforms like the China-ASEAN (Malaysia) Entrepreneurs Association, driving win-win cooperation across multiple industries.
The Anhui Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia remains steadfastly committed to serving as a solid bridge connecting Malaysian and Chinese trade and business activities, proactively providing precise and practical services for enterprises from Anhui and across China looking to expand into the ASEAN market. The Chamber stated that it will continue to uphold this mission, leverage its unique platform advantages, and help more enterprises precisely integrate into the ASEAN market to win the future together.
